Join us for 10 weeks of summer excitement!!
View A Note from the Director
The Village Academy has long been known as the best place to be in St. Augustine for Summer Camp.
This year try out our new format featuring a different theme camp for each of our ten weeks of Summer Camp. Whether you are a water lover, a sports fanatic, or a theatrical diva we have something for you!
Dream big because every week of camp will feature trips, guest facilitators and special activities related to the theme of that week. Plus, enjoy all of your old time favorites such as swimming, arts and crafts, songs, indoor and outdoor games and much, much more!
Several of our weeks will feature an overnight event this year. And don’t you worry… one of our weeks will be “Olympics”, a Village Summer Camp favorite.
Here is a little sneak peak at two of our theme weeks coming up this summer.
Waterlogged - A water lover’s dream… where your child will enjoy extra water time every day. Some of activities will include water games, specialty aquatic events, slip and slide, water balloon battleship, an off site trip to a water park, and kayaking for our older Campers. If you want to stay cool, you will love our water theme week.
Camping Days - Who says you can’t “go camping” at day camp? We will learn to build a campfire, do some outdoor cooking, and even learn how to pitch tents. Enjoy our bed-roll relay, specialty hikes, camp crafts and more. End the week with an overnight camping “trip”. We will set up camp, cook our dinner, enjoy the stars and sing around the campfire. And no campout is complete without s’mores!!
Daily Activity Schedule and Weekly Themes

Our Summer Camp is staffed with fun, safety conscious, child-focused counselors and specialists!
Our counselors are carefully screened and selected specifically for the types of programs we offer. All staff attend pre-camp training focusing on all aspects of Summer Camp program, and safety. Our staff are First Aid and CPR certified through the American Red Cross. The majority of our counselors are either attending college or are college graduates, and many are from the United Kingdom, Australia, or New Zealand. They have experience working with children in a variety of settings. Our waterfront staff are American Red Cross certified lifeguards, and our waterfront director is also certified as a Water Safety Instructor which enables her to offer swimming lessons to your child.
Our goal is to provide a quality Summer Camp program that will help your child develop skills in a variety of areas. Camp provides an informal setting for learning and exploring in a group setting.
We know you will be very pleased with the variety and quality of
activities your child will experience here at The Village Academy Summer Camp. Please feel free to contact the Camp Director Misty Phillips at misty@village-academy.com with any questions. Please make sure your subject line says Camp. I am very careful about not opening emails from email addresses I don’t recognize. I will respond to all questions within 24 hours during the weekdays.

Registering for Summer Camp
Our Summer Camp is designed to progress through the week and end with a big finale each Friday! Whether it is a week that ends with an overnight event, or a week that ends with a play or a big carnival, we do activities all week leading up to this day.
We encourage all campers to register for full weeks of Camp to experience the full impact of the program planned. For example, if we are planning a play we will work all week on our performance, costumes, set design, etc. It is beneficial for your child to participate in these activities during the week so they will shine in the play on Friday.

We do understand that in some situations your child may not be able to attend every day of camp. We know the economy still affects many families and you may need other camp options. For this reason you will still have the option to register for “part–time” Summer Camp. Ask the Front Desk for details.
When you fill out the registration form, please check the appropriate box to select the Summer Camp experience that best meets your needs.
You may download the necessary forms from our website (www.village-academy.com) to register for Summer Camp, or pick them up at either of our campuses located at 145 Lewis Point Road or 5970 US-1 North (Village Academy North).
Most field trips will be included in the cost of your camp program.
A few special trips will have an additional fee. Please refer to the camp schedule to determine what trips and additional fees may apply.
Tuition
Tuition for summer camp is $162 per week. A $50 non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of sign up ($25 if your child is already enrolled at The Village Academy or Village Academy North.) Your child has the option to attend 3 or 5 days per week. The 3 days per week fee is $115. Snack is included in camp tuition, and lunch is available for a nominal fee. Camp Registration Form
