Welcome to the best Extended Day program in St Johns County. The Freedom Crossing Academy Extended Day Program is held each day on the campus of Freedom Crossing Academy Elementary School and designed around children and working parents. We provide an energetic environment that is safe and nurturing, and filled with a variety of structured activities that provide opportunities for learning, exercise, social development – and fun.
It’s like a mini-summer camp every day! Parents can be assured that their children are properly supervised and provided with stimulating activities along with an appropriate balance between homework, exercise, skill development, and social activities. We also provide special events such as themed parties, seasonal celebrations, guest speakers, and sports.

Freedom Crossing Academy Extended Day
Before School – Available from 6:30 to 8:00 am each school day.
Morning Extended Day is held on campus at Freedom Crossing Academy Elementary School and is a time for relaxing, playing quiet games, reading books and talking quietly to friends. Morning Extended Day is less structured than our afternoon program.
After School – Available from dismissal until 6:00 pm.
Afternoon Extended Day is held on campus at Freedom Crossing Academy Elementary School and includes a variety of daily activities. These activities include homework time, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) projects, arts and crafts, outside play, inside games, science experiments, cooking, community service, and more.

Registration: Please include a check for your registration fee along with an enrollment packet for each child. Checks should be made out to Village Extended Day Services. Each enrollment packet should include an Enrollment Form, Child History Form, Authorizations Form, and General Release and Hold Harmless Agreement. Registration for one child is $75 (1st child) and there is a maximum of $125 per family. This fee helps pay for snacks and materials/equipment.
Third Party Enrichment Programs:
Most extended day programs in St Johns County schools offer extracurricular enrichment activities that are available for a separate charge. Most of these are for a specific duration, such as 5 or 6 weeks, and meet once each week. All classes start at 3 pm except on Wednesdays (early release days), when the start time is 2 pm. We negotiate with a wide variety of vendors. Although additional programs may be added and schedules are still subject to change, the following programs are planned for the 2018-19 School Year (subject to participation minimums):
Thursday: LEE Spanish Available through Freedom Crossing Academy
There are 180 days of school attendance each year, and each month has a different number of school days. For your convenience, and to simplify the payment process, we have divided the Extended Day fees into 10 equal payments. If you divide the 180 days of the School Year by 10 payments, each payment is for 18 days of service. All payments are due by the 1st of the month.
State law prohibits attendance if tuition has not been paid. Please help us remain in compliance by making your tuition payments by the due date. A late fee of $25 will be assessed 5 days after the due date, and your child will be disenrolled if payments are not made before the start of the next month.

After School: $25 per day with paid registration; $35 per day without registration paid (all paperwork must be complete for registered or non-registered students).
Before School: $10 per day with paid registration; $20 per day without registration paid (all paperwork must be complete for registered or non-registered students).
* Drop-In days must be purchased in advanced (minimum of a $100 credit). Your account must be kept current to continue in the program. We will not be able to accept your child without a credit. If before school drop off is ever a last minute decision, you may send a check the day of with a note for Extended Day.
We offer reduced rates to families who qualify for free or reduced lunch. When your family applies for either the free or reduced lunch program, you should receive a letter from the county which identifies the program your family is qualified to use. A copy of this letter must be presented to the Extended Day Program Administrator to be eligible for these discounted rates. Upon presentation of the letter, we will provide the rates which you are to pay. Families who qualify for free lunch will receive 50% off the regular tuition fees. Families who qualify for reduced lunch will receive 25% off the regular tuition fees. Reduced rates do not apply to Wednesday Only services.
Pick-up for After School is 6:00 PM at the latest.
Once your child is fully enrolled in the program, secure online payments are available through MyProcare
