Infants & Toddlers

Infants (6 weeks to 12 months)

Early Childhood Programs For Infants

Early Childhood Programs For Infants

Our objective is to love and care for your infant in a positive environment while exposing him/her to a variety of early learning experiences in music, art, language and positive human interaction. We base our infant early childhood programs on established brain research, which has proven the amazing ability of the infant brain to learn receptively, long before beginning to verbally express what he or she has learned. Our teachers provide a rich language environment which is a key component of early literacy skills. They also expose infants to colors, numbers and counting, shapes, and other key elements that build a foundation for future mathematical abilities. Our teachers read multiple books to our infants throughout the day. We provide plenty of outdoor learning and play time during which infants are exposed to aspects of nature and are provided with fun music and movement activities to build their gross motor skills.

We use the Learn Every Day for Infants curricula by Kaplan, which focuses on and includes: Sign language, active listening and talking, exposure to rich vocabulary and counting, and activities to promote creativity, learning the world around them, and physical development. Teachers promote parent engagement by sharing the lessons they work on in class with our parents, and by giving our parents progress reports and ideas to reinforce infant developmental milestones and learning at home.

Toddlers are naturally curious and are active learners, so we embrace multisensory learning experiences provided in a positive environment. Our teachers provide a rich language environment and read multiple stories throughout the day to build early literacy skills and to foster language development. Our teachers understand the importance of a consistent daily structure that allows for both quiet and active learning and imaginative play and they embrace the importance of positive reinforcement as a classroom management strategy. Our toddlers are exposed to foundational math concepts, early science activities, and fun art projects along with guided activities to encourage sharing and social emotional development and to build both gross and fine motor skills.  Your toddler will enjoy a variety of fun music and movement activities throughout the day during which we incorporate music from around the world. We also provide several opportunities for outdoor playtime during which we encourage children to investigate and learn from nature.

We use the Active Learning for Toddlers curricula in addition to the Learn Every Day for Infants and Toddlers curricula by Kaplan. Each of these curricula are evidence-based and developed by professionals and researchers in the field of early childhood development. Our curriculum and curriculum additions include: Sign language, basic introduction to Spanish vocabulary, music and movement, active listening and talking, activities to promote social and emotional development, and activities to promote creativity, exploration, and physical development.
